Machine, OS

I’ve been using macOS for quite a while. I don’t remember exactly when I started, but I think it’s been almost 10 years.
I’m also interested in Linux, and I bought an old ThinkPad and installed Ubuntu on it. But since my company provides a MacBook and I’m busy with childcare, I don’t want to spend the effort to stay productive on both OSes, so I stick with a MacBook. I have little to complain about so far.
Recently, I bought an M5 MacBook Pro for personal use (upgrading from an M1 MacBook Air).
Let me tell you why I launched an English site, and let me introduce myself a little bit.

How my site runs

My site runs on Ruby on Rails with Parklife, which can statically build Rack-based apps. I used to use Hugo, but migrated to this combination after being inspired by Ben Sheldon’s post: Living Parklife with Rails, coming from Jekyll | Island94.org.
Thanks to Rails, internationalizing the site was somewhat straightforward.

History

1985-2002 Birth to High School Dropout
